Lake Ariel is a Village in Lake Township, Wayne County, surrounded by stunning views of the Pocono Mountains. Originally known as Jones Lake or Jones Pond, Lake Ariel is a natural, deep, spring-fed lake with a long rich history as a resort area.
Lake Ariel has evolved from a public recreation community to a private residential community. The area around the lake provides a wide range of things to do and see, and opportunities for outdoor recreation are particularly abundant. Fishing, swimming and boating are available on Lake Ariel and several neighboring lakes. Lake Ariel is served by the Western Wayne School District.
